We, humans, are the best creations of God and so is the humanity. This is the story of two humanitarians who rescued each other from their worst conditions and turned out to be heroes for each other and inspirations for others.
It Was A Usual Day
For Kate McClure, who is from New Jersey, it was a usual day. She was driving to Philadelphia on the freeway in her car. Although, she did not know that in next few minutes, it’s not only her life will be going to change but someone else life too.
The Car Broke Down
Kate McClure’s car suddenly got broke down on the freeway. She got tense but somehow managed to park her car at the roadside. She started to find a gas station when a homeless man came to her. She was scared at first but what he said to her, made us all believe in humanity. He requested her to sit inside her car and lock the doors from inside. He then came back with a tank filled with gas. He spent his last $20 on that gas for Kate’s car.
A New Friend
This new friend of Kate is Johnny Bobbitt Junior. He is 34-year-old, was an ex-ambulance driver. He was homeless.
The Man’s Condition
Johnny came to Philadelphia about a year back, for a job but unfortunately, that offer did not work out. Since then he is searching for the work and stays on the streets of Philadelphia. Even in these harsh conditions, Johnny helped Kate.
Now it is Kate’s turn to help her hero. With her boyfriend, she started visiting Johnny every day with some food supplies, and money. Kate started to learn more about Johnny and his old lifestyle. Kate started a GoFundMe page for Johnny’s rehabilitation on November 10. The goal was to raise $10,000 but in a short period of time, they raised $160,000.
People came forward to save a hero from his worst conditions and to support a good cause. This story is a perfect example of good karma and also restores our faith in humanity.
